AKRON, OHIO - APV Engineered Coatings® has introduced a new NeverFade(TM) Universal Primer for use as a first coat in conjunction with the application of NeverFade(TM) exterior paints. Both products have low VOCs and are eco-friendly.
The water-based NeverFade Universal Primer adheres to a wide variety of substrates, including wood, stucco, aluminum siding, vinyl siding, masonry and cement panels. The white primer can easily be applied to prepared surfaces with a brush, roller or spray gun and requires just 24 hours of drying time.
NeverFade Universal Primer was created for use as a first coat in conjunction with the application of NeverFade with Kynar Aquatec® Exterior Paint Series topcoat. The topcoat features Kynar Aquatec polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) to make it resistant to fading, algae, fungus, stains and abrasions. The paint's water-based formula has low VOCs and is warranted to last 15 years against fading.
Kynar resins are manufactured by Arkema, Inc. The homopolymer in Kynar Aquatec is a tough, engineered thermoplastic that offers a unique balance of properties. As a result, NeverFade paint withstands harsh thermal, chemical and ultraviolet environmental conditions.
Available nationwide from APV Engineered Coatings, NeverFade Universal Primer and NeverFade exterior paint provide an environmentally-friendly system for creating a long lasting exterior paint finish on both residential and commercial projects.
Founded in Akron, Ohio in 1878, APV Engineered Coatings manufactures innovative,
