Vecima Launches the HyperQAM Universal Edge QAM
VICTORIA, June 12 -- Vecima Networks Inc. (TSX: VCM), leading Last Mile Solution(R) provider for cable broadband networks, announces today the launch of HyperQAM(TM), its next-generation Universal Edge QAM. The Vecima HyperQAM is ideally suited for deployments of Switched Digital Video, M-CMTS and DOCSIS 3.0. The HyperQAM is able to simultaneously support high speed data, broadcast video and VOD services in the same chassis.
The HyperQAM features exceptional redundancy and modularity, is fully software upgradeable and is a reliable solution for any operator planning value-added video or data services. With 128 fully DRFI compliant QAM outputs in 2 rack units, the highly compact design allows operators to do more with less. The scaleable platform allows outputs to be added in increments of 1, 2, 4, 6 or 8, permitting a pay-as-you-grow philosophy - affordable even at lower densities.
