Portable Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge

Toronto, Canada - GAO Comm (www.GAOComm.com) has announced the release of its non-destructive ultrasonic thickness gauge for performing measurements on a wide range of material including metals, plastic, ceramics, composites, epoxies, glass and other materials that conduct ultrasonic waves well. Equipped with transducer modules, the thickness gauge can be used for special applications including for coarse grain material and high temperature applications.

This thickness gauge, model 150, features two operating modes: single point and scan mode. It takes four measurement readings in single point mode, which measures thickness at one specific point and ten readings per second are taken in scan mode, which measures thickness over a length. It has a two-point calibration function, a memory capacity of up to 20 measurements and provides coupling status indicator. Its auto sleep and auto power off functions ensure a long battery life. Special purpose probes are optionally available for applications such as measuring coarse grain material and for high temperature applications.
