June 26, 2012 - Delivering 12-bit resolution over 33 ft sensing window, F260 Series provides both analog and dual switch point outputs. Analog adjustments are made in intuitive software programming environment, while dual potentiometers control switch point adjustment. Sensors provide 10° pivoting face, permitting sensor-to-target alignment. Operating in harsh and dirty conditions, sensors are suitable for level control, overhead crane positioning, and many outdoor position feedback applications.

New Rugged, Powerful Ultrasonic Sensors Deliver Long-Range Sensing in Harsh Application Conditions

New F260 series from Pepperl+Fuchs boast a reliable 10-meter sensing range, even in dirty environments

TWINSBURG, OH - Pepperl+Fuchs introduces F260 Series Ultrasonic Sensors. These rugged sensors deliver 12-bit resolution over a 10-meter (33ft) sensing window, providing both analog and dual switch point outputs. An ultra-powerful transducer permits installation in the dirtiest environments. These sensors are ideal for level control, overhead crane positioning and many outdoor position feedback applications.

The F260 series is also easy to configure - analog adjustments are quickly made in an intuitive software programming environment, while dual potentiometers control switch point adjustment. Beyond range limit control, the software effectively "smooths" outputs responding to unstable targets (i.e. turbulent tanks) by modifying sampling and filtering functions. The F260 also provides users with a 10-degree pivoting face, permitting optimum sensor-to-target alignment.

Pepperl+Fuchs is a world leader in the design, manufacture and application of high quality factory and process automation products and services. Pepperl+Fuchs pioneered the development of proximity sensors 50 years ago, and has set the standard for innovation and quality ever since.
