Each relay may be configured as single setpoint alarm, 2 latched setpoints for automatic fill or empty control, or 2 independent setpoints for out-of-bounds alarming. Microprocessor-based sensor has NEMA 4X/IP65 enclosure, PVDF Kynar® transducer, pushbutton calibration, and accuracy of ±0.25% of span.

Los Alamitos, CA (Feb. 20, 2003) -- Flowline's general-purpose LU60 ultrasonic controller provides non-contact level measurement up to 33 ft. (10 m) with advanced display, tank shape linearization and control functions with 5 relays. Each relay can be configured as a single setpoint alarm, two latched setpoints for automatic fill or empty control or two independent setpoints for out-of-bounds alarming. Additionally, relay pairs can be configured for alternating, lead-lag and duplexing pump control.
The microprocessor-based sensor is ideally suited for challenging corrosive, slurry or waste liquids and is typically selected for large atmospheric bulk storage and waste pump transfer applications. Media examples include sodium hypochlorite and wastewater. Accuracy is ±0.25% of span. Process temperature varies from -40°C to 60°C (-40°F to 140°F) with automatic temperature compensation over the entire range. The sensor is provided with a NEMA 4X/IP65 enclosure and rugged PVDF Kynar® transducer.
The wall-mounted controller features a 2-line, 16-digit display with pushbutton calibration. Level is indicated in distance or volumetric units. An isolated 4-20 mA repeater output provides for integration with SCADA or PLC. Additional features include fail-safe intelligence and relay logic for maximum process safety, a 16-point linearization function for volumetric tank measurement, and a rugged NEMA 4X/IP65 polycarbonate enclosure.
