Highly Effective Carton and Card UV-Printing Systems Enable Excellent Print Images for Complete Texts and Variable Information
Ronkonkoma, NY. Griffin-Rutgers Corporation, the exclusive North American sales, service and support distributor of Metronic printing products, announces the availability of Metronic's Vario Soft VSK-S 400 Series. The VSK-S 400 and VSK-410 are two highly effective UV-printing systems for printing complete text and variable information onto flat packaging materials, such as folding boxes and blister cards.
The VSK-S Series uses special printing procedures, developed by Metronic, that employ flexography and the offset print process. Before the print is transferred onto the product, it is transferred from the print mat onto a soft rubber roller, providing excellent print images, even over glue seams and uneven surfaces. The VSK-S uses special inks that are cured by passing under the system's UV-dryer. The inks are solvent-free and clean-up time is minimized, as the ink remains in its original form in the ink well for extended periods of time. Typical features include a doctor-blade system for optimal ink transfer and a half-saddle system for swift replacement of print mats. The construction of the VSK-S system allows for loading and unloading of material while the machine is in operation. The VSK-S 410 offers print image control via a bar code reading camera, double-layer infeed prevention control, a reject station to single out non-printed or insufficiently printed material and a control panel with text display.
