August 5, 2004 - Using 50 die in TO-66 package, Model OTLH-00280-UV offers peak wavelength at 375 nm with radiant flux of 254 mW when driven at max peak current of 300 mA. UV Shark package provides standard half max viewing angle of ±54°. Array is suitable for fluorescence excitation or absorption, document validation, and UV curing of acrylates used in adhesives, polymers, and ink curing applications. Collimating optics and custom lenses are available.

Opto Technology Announces A New UV LED Product To The Shark Series

WHEELING, IL- Opto Technology, Inc. is pleased to introduce a 375 nm UV LED array as the newest member of the Shark product line. Using 50 die in a TO-66 package it achieves 254 mW of optical power. The UV LED array is ideal for applications that include fluorescence excitation or absorption, document validation, UV curing of acrylates used in: adhesives, polymers and ink curing applications.

The OTLH-00280-UV has a peak wavelength at 375nm with a radiant flux of 254mW when driven at a maximum peak current of 300mA. The UV Shark package offers a standard half max viewing angle of +-54 degrees. Collimating optics and custom lenses are available. The emitters are priced at $107.38 each in quantities of 100.

Opto Technology Inc. also offers a standard 395 nm UV Shark, 405 nm is available as prototypes. Future plans include a 365nm Shark.
