July 16, 2002 - Surface-mount A-type USB 4-pin plug is available with 0.90 mm or 1.35 mm plastic posts. Insulator material is black or white PA6T high temperature thermoplastic. Plug has through-hole shield tabs and contacts made from phosphor bronze with gold flash over nickel. It is suitable for use in flash memory devices, USB hard drives, and hardware/software keys.

San Jose, CA - Kycon, Inc. has announced the release of its new surface mount A-type USB plug. The 4-pin plug is designed specifically for use in dongles and adapters, flash memory devices, USB hard drives, and hardware/software keys.
The insulator material is made from black or white PA6T high temperature thermoplastic. It has through hole shield tabs, and the contacts are made from phosphor bronze with gold flash over nickel as standard, and with 30u" gold over nickel for superior performance. It is available with either 0.90mm or 1.35mm plastic posts.
