Kanguru Solutions Releases Kanguru Biostor, a Biometric USB2.0 Hard Drive That Flawlessly Secures Portable Data

Millis, Massachusetts -November, 2005 - Kanguru Solutions announces the release of the Kanguru BioSTOR, a USB2.0 hard drive featuring cutting edge biometric security.

The Kanguru BioSTOR's sophisticated biometric sensor verifies a user's identity by their unique finger or thumbprint. Distinct physiological characteristics such as fingerprints make biometric security extremely accurate and easy to use, yet nearly impossible to break into and compromise sensitive data.

The biometric sensor located on the top of the Kanguru BioSTOR scans and allows access to the encrypted hard drive once an exact fingerprint is confirmed. Both fingerprint images and the security software to operate the Kanguru BioSTOR are stored on the drive. After the initial set-up this feature conveniently allows users to travel to and from compatible PCs without the burden of installation.

The Kanguru BioSTOR also allows users to protect their data without delay as it boasts a hardware-based encryption speed of 1.6 Gigabits per second. The device automatically locks when disconnected from any PC to protect the encrypted data stored on the hard drive. Unlike competitors, the Kanguru BioSTOR remains encrypted even after the drive is removed from its enclosure.

The compact and lightweight Kanguru BioSTOR makes for an equally portable and secure biometric storage device. The Kanguru BioSTOR is also durable, resisting up to 200G of shock. Available in both 2.5" and 3.5" sizes with storage capacities ranging from 40GB up to 500GB, the Kanguru BioSTOR operates on Windows 98/SE/ME/2000/XP.

A division of Interactive Media Corporation, Kanguru Solutions manufactures high quality, secure and portable computer storage and security peripherals that have provided consumers with secure back-up solutions for more than a decade.
