Metalcraft Introduces UID Cable Labels
Durable, customizable product meets compliance challenge
MASON CITY, IOWA (March 9, 2009) - Metalcraft today announced availability of customizable UID Cable Labels designed to address the difficulty of marking wires and cables for UID compliance among U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) contractors.
UID is a DoD mandate that requires a Unique Item Identifier (UII) to track items throughout their lifecycle - a challenge given the applications and environments of military assets.
