UHMW Polymer Tapes are Offered with Pressure Sensitive Acrylic or Rubber Adhesive

DW506/725 DeWAL Industries Now Manufacturing Automotive Approved Squeak and Rattle Tape

SAUNDERSTOWN, RHODE ISLAND, USA, July 25, 2005 DeWAL Industries, Inc., a leading manufacturer of PTFE and UHMW-PE film and tape, is now offering high quality UHMW automotive squeak and rattle tape.

Rolls of DeWAL UHMW tape are available with a direct coat acrylic or elastomeric adhesive. In cases where a customer needs a 3M or Avery transfer adhesive, they can also be provided.

DeWAL UHMW tapes can be provided from 0.25 to 26.0 in. wide, and 3, 5, 10 and 20 mils thick. With temperature-resistant acrylic or elastomeric adhesive on one side, the tape is backed with 84# Kraft paper liner for ease of die cutting and application.

Because DeWAL squeak and rattle tape is made of UHMW-PE (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene), it offers excellent wear resistance and exceptionally smooth surfaces. It is designed to reduce noise without wearing out, under many interior and exterior automotive conditions.

DeWAL squeak and rattle tape conforms to plastic and metal surfaces, even in unusual shapes, and is used most frequently inside automotive dashboards. DeWAL squeak and rattle tapes have also found their way into engine compartments, trunks, auto interior liners and auto exteriors. It is also used in aviation, appliances, electronic packaging, and other industrial applications. In applications where U.V. resistance is necessary, DeWAL can provide its black version of the UHMW.

DeWAL Squeak and Rattle Tapes meet most OEM specifications, including • General Motors ‹ GM6420M • Ford ‹ ESB-M6G17-A • Chrysler ‹ DCX Spec. MS-JZ8-22

Since it's founding in 1974, DeWAL has become an industry leader in the manufacture of pressure sensitive tapes from PTFE, UHMW-PE, Polyimide, and PTFE coated glass fabric.
