CHESTERLAND OH – CAS DataLoggers together with CAEN RFID introduces the new Easy2log© RFID Temperature Logger Semi-Passive UHF Tags specifically for the Food & Beverage and Pharma industries. With high accuracy and a low cost, these cold chain loggers are ideal for use in shipping and storage. Perfect for your cold chain operations, these RFID temp tags enable you to instantly check the temperature of your products at every link of the chain.

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Tags vs. USB Loggers:
In contrast to USB data loggers, CAEN RFID temp tags and readers allow you to track and trace your product for complete cold chain validation:
-- No more wasting time configuring and installing USB loggers! Using the tags’ RFID interface you can speed through device configuration.
-- It’s easy for personnel to use our mobile or desktop RFID readers by just walking near a product palette or box to collect the tags’ data. This way you can get data from multiple tags simultaneously, even from long distances.
-- Fully automate your operations by installing reading stations at critical checkpoints. Now you can provide temperature data to your customers exactly when they need it, i.e. while they can still take corrective actions before your product is lost or spoiled. This setup is much faster than connecting USB loggers to a PC one at a time!

RFID Temp Tags:
The CAEN RFID RT0005 is a semi-passive UHF Logger tag that records temperature from perishable food and pharmaceutical products in transportation and storage applications. Using an EPC C1G2 RFID interface, these tags have a read range of 10m in air @ 2W ERP.

The high-accuracy sensor, large memory size, alarm capabilities and standard RFID interface makes these tags a hassle-free way to integrate temperature monitoring into your existing logistic operation.

Additionally you can use each RFID datalogger over multiple shipments thanks to the long battery life and the quick reset function.

Personnel can start the RT0005 tag either by pressing a button or via standard RFID commands. Their bright LEDs make it easy for staff to do a quick temperature check. The tags can also calculate the Mean Kinetic Temperature and remaining product shelf life time. These devices also generate alarms whenever parameters exceed your preset High & Low Temperature alarms.

You can configure each temperature tag to store a reading in intervals between 1 second and 18 hours, and each RT0005 tag can contain up to 4,000 samples for extended logging sessions.

An external probe model (RT0005ET) is also available, making it possible to measure temperature even inside a shielded box where the RFID field cannot get through.

Free Configuration Software:
Available as a FREE download, the Easy2log© software allows you to configure, control and download data from the temperature tags.

CAEN RFID products also support integration with a web portal so that when you input your tracking number, you’ll see the time, location info, and the entire temperature history from the shipment time to the checkpoint.

UHF RFID Readers:
RFID makes it quick and easy for users to download their critical temperature data. We offer both desktop and portable UHF RFID readers as a cost-effective alternative to more costly handheld devices.

Our readers have an integrated antenna for short- to medium-range applications and feature a Bluetooth® interface for quick data collection.
