Portwell's New Type 10 Nano COM Express Module Offers Low Power Consumption in Tight Spaces
FREMONT, CALIF. -- American Portwell Technology, Inc., (http://www.portwell.com) has the perfect solution for users with a Type 10 carrier board who want to improve performance, find a smaller footprint for applications in tighter spaces and operate smoothly in temperatures that can range between -40°C and 80°C. At a mere 84mm x 55mm and driven by Intel’s Dual-Core Atom N2800/2600 processor, American Portwell’s new PCOM-B21A not only fills the restricted space needs, but also provides improved graphics support.
PCOM-B21A is the latest addition to American Portwell’s comprehensive COM Express form factor family and supports: Type 10 carrier board with a tight footprint of only 84mm x 55mm; low power consumption via Intel’s Atom N2800/N2600 processor (less than 12W for a fan-less solution); DDR3 memory up to 4GB (N2800) and 2GB (N2600); four PCIe x1 lanes that can be configured to one PCIe x4; eight USB 2.0 ports; dual independent displays via VGA, LVDS and DisplayPort (DP); a tested operating temperature range of -40°C to 80°C (N2600); and an optional on-board SSD to provide fast operating speed and maintain the small footprint.
According to Robert Feng, American Portwell’s product marketing manager, the new PCOM-B21A Type 10 COM Express module is perfect for applications in fields such as automation, medical, military, networking, outdoor digital signage and transportation. “One of the key benefits of our new PCOM-B21A is that it supports all Type 10 carrier boards,” Feng explains, “and extends their operating functionality into a much wider temperature range.”
