Two-Wire Oxygen Deficiency Detector ensures plant safety.

Press Release Summary:

By ensuring detection prior to entry, model 4501-03 protects against instances caused by other gases leaking into enclosed space and dropping oxygen levels below critical 19.5% level. Maintenance is minimized by 180 day calibration interval, and 4-20 mA, 2-wire loop-powered design facilitates installation. With integral, scrolling, menu-driven LCD, operator interface aids access to gas status, calibration instructions, adjustment of ranges and outputs, and diagnostic information.

Sierra Monitor 2-Wire Oxygen Gas Detector

Sierra Monitor Corporation offers the 4501-03, 2-Wire Oxygen Deficiency Gas Detector, a two-wire, loop powered gas detectors provide the user with lower cost and easier installation and maintenance. This eliminates the need for separate power runs and associated power distribution and circuit protection for each device.

Oxygen Deficiency is a dangerous workplace hazard in many industrial plant environments.

Other gases leaking into an enclosed space can drop oxygen levels below the critical 19.5% level making it dangerous for humans to enter the area. Such potential hazards can exist in most industries. While portable gas detectors can be useful, it is more important that the level of oxygen in an enclosed room is detected before someone enters the room and this is where easy to understand, fixed gas detectors are an important part of any plant's safety system.

The new 2-wire Oxygen Gas Detector provides features not found in similar products including:
  • Low maintenance costs due to 180 day (six-month) calibration interval
  • Low installation costs due to 4-20 mA 2-wire loop-powered design
  • User-friendly operator interface with integral scrolling menu-driven LCD display for easy access to gas status, calibration instructions, adjustment of ranges and outputs and diagnostic information.
  • Fastest response time, highest accuracy, and specifications unmatched in the industry.
  • Non-intrusive calibration to enable calibration without declassifying the area
  • Common signal output of 4-20 mA
