"Common Sense Turning"
According to Okuma & Howa Product Manager Mark Davis, "twin spindle configurations are what we like to refer to as 'common sense turning.' Many of our customers first considered a standard horizontal lathe. When they saw that they could double production in virtually the same footprint, they were sold. Further, the unique gantry load/unload mechanism does away with the need for standard robotic loading with its programming difficulties and additional space requirements. Any shop or facility engaged in the manufacture of small rotational parts could benefit from this machine."
