With 0.1 µm input tolerance, GN-3200 is suited for second operation finishing work and hard turning of heat treated components. It has maximum turning diameter of 45 mm and maximum turning length of 50 mm. Unit features heat-symmetric machine frame and bed, wing type headstock, and separate coolant tank that eliminates chances of thermal distortion over time and ensures heat generated by machining is not transmitted to machine body. Compact machine measures only 2.3 x 4.8 ft.

Miyano Ultra-Precision Turning Center Designed for Hard Turning of Small Parts
Wood Dale, IL June 3, 2009 - Miyano Machinery is pleased to introduce the new GN-3200 Ultra-Precision Turning Center. With a 0.1µm (4 millionths) input tolerance, the GN-3200 is ideal for high-precision hard turning of small components that are traditionally finished on a grinding machine.
Able to achieve tolerances historically associated with grinding operations, Miyano's GN Series machines are primarily intended for second operation finishing work and hard turning of heat treated components. The GN-3200 has a maximum turning diameter of 45mm (1.77") and maximum turning length of 50mm (1.97").
The GN-3200 features a heat-symmetric machine frame and bed, wing type headstock and separate coolant tank so that thermal distortion will not occur over time and heat generated by machining will not be transmitted to the machine body. The single slide structure of the X-axis turret and the Z-axis spindle achieves almost zero lost motion by improving follow-up accuracy. Both X-axis and Z-axis slideways, hand scraped by highly skilled engineers, have superior damping performance and this, coupled with a precisely controlled discharge of slideway lubricant, ensures the machine's ability to perform heavy duty, high precision turning.
Designed for out-of-the-box automation, all GN Series machines feature a standard high-speed gantry loader with a maximum service time of 3.5 seconds. The highly-compact GN-3200 occupies a floor space of only 2.3ft wide by 4.8ft deep.
