Unique Super Filter Offers Extraordinary Filtration Efficiency and Dirt Holding Capacity

Argonide Launches a New Generation of Turbidity Filters With a Capacity More Than 20 Times Greater Than Conventional Cartridges.

SANFORD, FL. 01/01/05 - Argonide Corporation, a company involved in the research and development of nanofiltration technologies, today announced the official launch of their high performance pleated "Superfilter" used for purifying water and industrial solutions. As compared to microglass, melt blown and membrane media, the new nanofilter has superior performance for filtering particles from microns down to a few nanometers.

The proprietary technology is based on a highly electropositive filter that rapidly adsorbs particles, no matter how small. The nominal pore size is 2 microns, yet the filter functions as if it had a 0.03 micron pore size rating. Flow rates and clogging resistance are tens to hundreds of times greater than equivalent performing membrane filters.

"Our innovative cartridges provide the user with filter life tens to hundreds of times greater than conventional filters with similar dimensions," says Fred Tepper, President of Argonide. "This gives the user major payback by reducing the cost and inconvenience of filter change-outs”.

The new superfilter is currently available in a wide variety of discs and cartridges. Applications include industrial water purification, prefiltration for reverse osmosis membranes, chemical and pharmaceutical processing, swimming pools, and food and beverage manufacture.

By mid 2005 the company plans to offer a unique depth filter capable of producing drinking water to EPA standards. Applications will include portable water purifiers and point of use faucet mount and under the counter filters. Argonide will be showing the NanoCeram® product line at this years WQA Aquatech Trade Show in Las Vegas, March 30-April 1.

NanoCeram® product and ordering information will be available on the Argonide Web site at www.argonide.com
