Original Press Release:
Spiroflow Systems Adds New Range of Cable and Chain Driven Tubular Drag Conveyors
Company Now Offers A Broad Range Of Customizable Conveying Solutions
CHARLOTTE, N.C.---When it comes to conveyors for dry bulk solids, whether in powder, granule, flake, pellet or lump in bulk quantities or as minor ingredients/additives, Spiroflow Systems Inc. offers a customized manufacturing solution. The company has never believed in the 'one size fits all' philosophy. Accordingly, as the business has expanded to meet industry demand, it has developed conveying solutions to meet or anticipate new challenges whether organically, by strategic acquisitions or through joint ventures.
Following the recent acquisition of Dynamet Inc. of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and combined with concurrent in-house development, two types of Tubular Drag Conveyors have been added Spiroflow's range of conveyors. They include the new 'CABLEflow'(TM) Tubular Drag Conveyor and the 'DYNAFLOW'(TM) Tubular Chain Drag Conveyor.
'CABLEflow' Tubular Cable Drag Conveyors
'CABLEflow'(TM) Tubular Cable Drag Conveyors are a development of their tried and tested Aero Mechanical Conveyors operating with reduced clearances and reduced running speeds. Developed by Spiroflow, the new line of 'CABLEflow'(TM) conveyors are designed for gentle handling applications and installations requiring conveying in multiple planes. They can transfer friable bulk products from single or multiple in-feed points to single or multiple discharge points with little or no damage. Applications include the coffee industry, where they are used to convey coffee beans, and the snack food industry, where they are used to move friable finished products.
'DYNAFLOW' Tubular Chain Drag Conveyors
Also now available from Spiroflow is a range of 'DYNAFLOW'(TM) Tubular Chain Drag Conveyors. The 'DYNAFLOW'(TM) range is also a mechanical drag conveyor system operating within the confines of a pipe. However, the discs that move material along the pipe are heavy-duty discs connected by articulated metal links (chains) that equip them for heavy-duty applications. The discs can be made from a variety of materials including steel and cast iron, which enables them to operate at temperatures up to 482°F (250°C).
These conveyors not only widen the scope of applications in Spiroflow's traditional food, chemical and pharmaceuticals markets, but also offer additional applications to markets such as glass, bricks, cement, steel-making, foundry, mining, minerals and aggregates. This range of conveyors has 40 years of operational experience and the support of the technical team from Dynamet Inc. which has joined Spiroflow.
