Norplex-Micarta Announces New High-Temperature Tubing Material

POSTVILLE, IA - Norplex-Micarta, the leading manufacturer of high performance thermoset composites, announces RT511, a new tubing material for high-temperature applications. RT511 has similar applications to RT500, known for its superior wall bond strength; however RT511 is a high-temperature material, able to maintain its strength at temperatures up to 150°C, while providing excellent electrical insulation.

RT511 is a convolute wound tubing material made of a glass epoxy resin system that can have inside diameters that range from as low as 0.750" - 48" (19.1mm - 1,219mm) and outside diameters ranging from 0.875" - 50" (22.3mm - 1,270mm), with wall thicknesses varying from 0.062" - 1.0" (1.57mm - 25.4mm). RT511 has undergone extensive laboratory testing to insure its superior quality when bond strength and delamination are important application requirements.
