Geberit Introduces Integrated Cascading Tub Filler and Bath Waste/Overflow

MICHIGAN CITY, Indiana – May 14, 2003 – Geberit introduces a new cascading tub filler and bath waste/overflow. The new product offers a faster fill rate of 18 gallons per minute for a broader range of tubs.

According to Product Manager Gene Carpenter, the new tub filler/overflow system combines the science of the bath with the opulence of the room. “Our new tub filler and bath waste/overflow is a beautiful way to fill the tub faster,” Carpenter said. “We’ve created a sleek, low-profile design and combined it with our proven cable drive mechanism to provide an integrated system that’s as effective and trouble-free as it is attractive,” he commented.

Available in three finishes, including chrome, PVD brass and brushed nickel, the Cascading Tub Filler comes in a variety of models to fit differing tub wall thicknesses ranging from .06 to .75 inches. This means the Tub Filler can be installed on standard cast iron, acrylic or fiberglass whirlpools, as well as custom tubs made from marble, granite or Corian™.

Carpenter reports that one of the most unique features of the Tub Filler is its water flow. “The Cascading Tub Filler uses a series of screens to “comb” the water. This creates a beautiful soft crystal pattern that also keeps the flow from wandering,” he noted.

Geberit’s proven cable drive drainage system features a maintenance-free cased cable to actuate the drain plug. This prevents clogs and facilitates quicker drain time. All mechanical components on the Cascading Tub Filler are made from stainless steel and brass for added durability and corrosion resistance. There is also a built-in back flow preventer.

Geberit is one of the leading suppliers of commercial plumbing products in the United States. Its parent company, the Geberit Group, is headquartered in Jona, Switzerland, and is a European market leader and global provider of advanced plumbing technology.
