Neopac Introduces the Transparent Dropper Tube for Eye Applications

Neopac proudly presents a unique dropper tube for eye applications. The transparent tube is characterised by excellent barrier properties, essentially against oxygen. The transparent body of the tube gives manufacturers and consumers the opportunity to check the purity of the contents.

Dropper systems are often housed in small glass or plastic vials. Both these materials have disadvantages: glass is breakable and plastic offers only slight barrier protection. Packaging expert, Neopac, therefore developed a dropper application for its barrier tubes in Oberdiessbach in Thun. The patented system is unbreakable, easy to handle and affords optimal protection for sensitive liquids.

"The new transparent dropper tube gives our customers the advantages of flexible packaging and, at the same time, satisfies legal requirements in terms of barrier properties and content visibility", explains Mrs. Martina Christianen, Head of Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing.

By lightly pressing the tube, individual drops are formed that can be instilled directly into the eyes, precisely and cleanly. The dosing of medicinal products is thus accurate and constant. The dropper tube weighs less than glass or hard plastic packaging.

All materials that come into contact with the contents satisfy the requirements for pharmaceutical primary packaging materials.
