Series 786 pulse transformers employ toroidal construction and offer minimum primary inductance values between 100 µH and 10 mH. Winding configuration options are 1:1, 1:1:1, 2:1. 1 CT:1, and 1 CT:1CT, while DC resistance values range from 0.17-1.34 ohm. Surface mount and through-hole versions are offered and are suitable for line coupling, matching, and isolation applications. Fully encapsulated units use UL 94V-0 materials and feature operating temperature of 0-70°C.

Miniature Pulse Transformers Save Space in Power Applications
22nd January 2003, Tucson, Arizona - C&D Technologies has expanded its family of magnetic products for power applications with a series of space saving, general-purpose pulse transformers offering inductance values to 10mH and isolation ratings of 1kVrms.
Featuring five different winding configurations, the C&D Technologies 786 series transformers are available in surface mount and through-hole versions and are ideal for applications such as line coupling, matching and isolation. The devices can also be used in small isolated power supplies and as common-mode chokes in filtering applications.
The new transformers offer minimum primary inductance values of between 100µH and 10mH and all employ a toroidal construction. Winding configuration options are 1:1, 1:1:1, 2:1. 1 CT:1 and 1 CT:1CT, while DC resistance values range from 0.17 ohm to 1.34 ohm.
Fully encapsulated using UL 94V-0 materials, the new transformers have dimensions of 9.52 x 8.89 x 6.35mm for DIP package options and 12.70 x 8.89 x 6.35mm in the case of the surface mount parts. Operating temperature for the 786 series is specified as 0°C to 70°C.
Pricing for transformers in the 786 series is under $0.90 per device in OEM quantities.
