May 29, 2008 - For structural and decorative use, UnifilmŪ U802 is used to attach architectural tension membranes to wide array of metal frames. Product laminates to variety of substrates including low surface energy plastics and untreated polyolefins. It provides high initial adhesion and builds to peel strength of 149 oz/in. Able to withstand environmental extremes, acrylic transfer adhesive offers UV, humidity, chemical, and temperature resistance.

Adhesive Attaches Membrane to Structural Framing

Windsor, Connecticut - May 21, 2008.... For structural and decorative use, Unifilm(R) U802 from Scapa North America is an acrylic transfer adhesive used to attach architectural tension membranes to a wide array of metal frames. This product is also used for a variety of seaming and repairing applications in tension membrane buildings, tents and canopies.

Unifilm U802 laminates well to a variety of substrates including low surface energy plastics and untreated polyolefins. This transfer adhesive provides high initial adhesion and quickly builds to a peel strength of 149 oz./inch. U802 withstands a range of environmental extremes and offers excellent UV, humidity and temperature resistance. The adhesive also provides superior chemical resistance and long-term
aging properties.
