Now Available New Track Support for Minvee® Linear Slide Systems

Low profile support beam securely mounts MinVee track to customer mounting substrates

Pittsburg, CA - Bishop-Wisecarver Corporation, manufacturer of the original DualVee® guide wheel and industry leader in guided motion technology, announces the availability of a new track support for MinVee, a low profile, miniature linear slide system. An ideal solution for easier application integration, the MinVee support beam securely joins MinVee track to customer mounting substrates and ensures adequate clearance for MinVee carriages to travel freely on the track.

MinVee track support is made from extruded 6063-T6 aluminum alloy and is clear anodized for corrosion resistance. The track support is available in single-piece lengths up to 10 ft.; longer track lengths can be supported with multiple, butt-jointed track supports. It is light-weight and low-profile yet offers optimal support and rigidity to MinVee systems by supporting Bishop-Wisecarver's signature DualVee track across their full mounting surface width and providing continuous, lengthwise contact.

A cost-effective alternative to the original multiple, single-hole round mounting spacers, the track support is pre-drilled with clearance holes that match the track mounting hole pattern making assembly faster and easier. Clearance hole-drilled MinVee track can be mounted with top-inserted standard screws over flat mounting substrates with pre-drilled tapped holes or T-slots up to 10 mm in width with standard screws and T-nuts. Threaded hole-drilled MinVee track can be mounted to flat mounting substrates with pre-drilled clearance holes with standard screws inserted from under the substrate.

"The new track support provides for faster installation, with few component parts", says Brian Burke, Project Engineer at Bishop-Wisecarver. "The ability to quickly and cost-effectively mount MinVee linear guides to customer mounting substrates greatly simplifies the installation process and provides inherently parallel mounting surfaces."

Offering axial load capacities up to 121 pounds and speeds up to five meters per second, the MinVee Linear Slide System consists of a four-wheel carriage riding a long-life, double-edge hardened steel track. The Size-0, half-inch wide track features the Bishop-Wisecarver self-aligning mounting shoulder which reduces installation time and cost. MinVee is suitable for use in a variety of industries including laboratory, medical, semi-conductor and packaging.
