June 11, 2010 - Suited for continuous monitoring for wide range of toxic gases, SmartWireless(TM) DM-100 provides 2-wire loop powered 4-20 mA current signal equivalent to range of detected concentration of gas. It comes in XP and intrinsically safe electro-polished 316 stainless steel housing fitted with ¾ in. NPT thread, and has non-intrusive operator interface with automated calibration. Accessories include field replaceable transient protection circuit, alarm relay board, and current to Modbus(TM) converter.

Model DM-100 Provides Low Power Gas Detection


The Woodlands, TX - Detcon's new Model DM-100 SmartWireless(TM) gas detection sensors are low power devices designed to detect and continuously monitor a wide range of toxic gases. All sensors provide a 2-wire loop powered 4-20 milliamp current signal equivalent to the range of the detected concentration of gas. The DM-100 features intelligent electronics and a non-intrusive operator interface with automated calibration and comprehensive fault diagnostics. The sensor is packaged in an electro-polished 316 stainless steel housing fitted with a ¾ inch NPT thread. All electronics are fully encapsulated in the sensor housing adding a high level of durability to the design. Packaging is XP and intrinsically safe. Additional accessories include a field replaceable transient protection circuit, a loop powered digital display, an alarm relay board, and a current to Modbus(TM) converter.
