Without any direct mechanical linkage between shaft and measuring system, Vert-X 22 Series employs permanent magnet secured to rotating object. These touchless, magnetic angle sensors have 0° to 360° measurement range and up to 14-bit resolution. With 8 output options, IP68-rated absolute sensors measure less than 1 in. dia and feature repeatability of 0.1° or better and max hysteresis of 0.1°. Redundant output versions are also available.

New Touchless Rotary Position Sensor
Southborough, MA - Novotechnik U.S. introduces the Vert-X 22 Series of touchless sensors. These touchless magnetic angle sensors feature a permanent magnet that is secured to the rotating object, so that there is no direct mechanical linkage between the shaft and the measuring system, and therefore no wear.
Key specifications for Vert-X 22 include 0 to 360° measurement range, resolution to 14-bit, repeatability of 0.1° or better, and maximum hysteresis of 0.1°. Eight output options are available: 0.1 to 10 V, 0.5 to 4.5 V, 4 to 20 mA, 10 to 90% of power supply, SSI, PWM, Incremental and SPI. Redundant output versions are offered as well.
Vert-X 22 Series sensors are absolute sensors so they retain their values even after power interruptions. They feature compact designs of less than 1 inch in diameter, sealing to IP68 and the measurement angle is factory programmable.
