Non-Contact Torque Sensor Features Selectable Signal Outputs

Sensor Development Inc's model 01251 (IRT), now allows torque measurement signals to be processed in three different ways. The sensor output can be configured as frequency, analog or a 4-20 MA current loop. Signal filter response and output level signals are also adjustable under computer control. A Graphical User Interface Program is provided to allow rapid setting of the sensors parameters. These are high performance, non-contact sensors that utilize digital infrared telemetry to transmit the torque signal in dynamometer systems without the use of slip rings or rotary transformer systems.

The IRT torque sensor can be supplied in multiple attachment configurations, expandable to measure both torque and thrust simultaneously and also can include on-board temperature inputs. These sensors have high frequency response, high sample rates, and high rotational speeds as standard features. They are available in single, dual, and custom flange designs, and with capacities ranging from 1000in-lbs to 250,000in-lbs (113 to 28000Nm). Optional angular measurement is also available.

All sensors include an ISO-17025 accredited calibration certificate.
