Torque Sensor features contact-free signal transmission.
January 20, 2010 -
Based upon strain gage technology, type 4520A torque sensor measures torques in accuracy class 0.5 at speeds up to 10,000 rpm. It is offered with torques of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1,000 Nm and features ±10 V torque signal, speed output with 60 pulses/rev, and externally switchable control signal. Suited for use in production, quality control, and laboratory, sensor is maintenance-free in continuous use.

New Reasonably Priced Basic Line Torque Sensor with Contactfree Signal Transmission
New Type 4520A... Basic Line provides a cost-effective torque sensor based upon strain gage technology. It extends Kistler's wide spectrum of torque sensors for tasks requiring efficient torque measurement. Sensor Type 4520A... is suitable for use in production, quality control and the laboratory.
Transmission of power and data without contact makes the sensor robust and maintenance-free in continuous use. It measures torques in accuracy class 0,5 at speeds up to 10 000 revolutions per minute.
Type 4520A... is offered with rated torques of 1/2/5/10/20/50/100/200/500/1 000 Nom and, in addition to the ±10 V torque signal, features a speed output with 60 pulses/rev. (TTL) as standard plus an externally switchable 100 % control signal.
Evaluation instrument CoMo Torque (Type 4700A...) and PC software SensorTool (Type
4706A) are available for parameter configuration and evaluation.
Kistler's core competence is the development, production and use of sensors for measuring pressure, force, torque and acceleration. Kistler's know-how and electronic systems can be used to prepare measuring signals for use in analyzing physical processes, controlling and optimizing industrial processes, improving product quality in manufacturing and improving performance in sports and rehabilitation.
Kistler offers a comprehensive range of sensors and systems for engine development, automotive engineering, plastics and metal processing, installation technology and biomechanics.
A worldwide sales presence in the form of 25 group companies and 30 distributors ensures customer proximity, application support on an individual level and short lead times.
With a staff of about 1 000, the Kistler Group is one of the world's leading providers of dynamic measuring instrumentation. The Kistler Group achieved turnover of 215 million Swiss Francs in the 2008 financial year.
