Available in 1.6-50 VA range, PCB-mount 50/60 Hz toroidal transformers include cores produced from continuous strip of high-grade silicon steel. This, and windings placed concentrically around core, optimize magnetic path, which optimizes use of magnetic flux for power transformation and reduces idle currents when load is removed. Products offer isolation of 4,000 Vac primary to secondary, low magnetic field radiation, no acoustic noise, and low leakage losses.

Rolla, Missouri: AlfaMag Electronics new line of PCB mount 50/60Hz toroidal transformers, ranging from 1.6VA through 50VA. All of the different VA ratings and output specifications can be viewed on our Product Index link on our website.
These little transformers offer many advantages over traditional E-I or U-I types. Because the cores are produced from a continuous strip of high grade silicon steel, and the windings are placed concentrically around the core, many advantages can be realized. This is the ideal magnetic path, lacking air gaps or discontinuities thereby optimizing the use of magnetic flux for power transformation and significantly reducing idling currents when the load is removed.
