Thermal Dynamics Introduces the SC-3000 High Precision Torch Height Controller

St. Louis, MO (February 16, 2009) - Thermal Dynamics, the leading producer of manual and automated plasma cutting systems, is pleased to introduce the SC-3000 High Precision Torch Height Controller - an expansion of Thermadyne's automation products.

The new SC-3000 connects easily to all CNC and plasma systems currently on the market. The included interface contains a high-contrast display that allows operators easy access to system parameters.

Other features of the SC-3000 include:

o Torch Height Displayed in Distance and Voltage - cut continuously at peak performance.

o Built-in Collision Sensor - retracts automatically; eliminates need for external sensor

o Arc Voltage Range: 0-300V - ready for all applications from marking to cutting the thickest of materials

o Easy to Operate - operating parameters limited to two drop down menus on user interface.

An optional "Touch Free Initial Height" control works great on rusted mild steel and coated stainless when compared to ohmic sensing.
