Enhanced Universal Tone Module Features 32 Tones
UNIVERSITY PARK, IL - May 2002. Federal Signal Electrical Products Group has introduced a new version of its popular Universal Tone Module ("SelecTone® UTM") a microprocessor-based tone module capable of producing any one of 32 different tones, including eight unique European-style tones. The UTM is used to generate tones in a single SelecTone Speaker/Amplifier or for plant wide signaling in a SelecTone Command Center. SelecTone is the Company's extensive line of plant-wide audible signaling devices that provide multiple tone, public address, and digital messaging capabilities. The expanded UTM is 100% backward compatible with all Federal Signal SelecTone products, making it easy and cost effective for current SelecTone users to add new tones to existing systems, and for new users to get time-proven SelecTone systems with the newest, state-of-the-art tone technology. SelecTone, first introduced in 1970, has become the leading audible signaling and evacuation system for industry because of its versatility, reliability and tone quality.
