June 11, 2002 - TASysWorks Tolerance Solutions software for SolidWorks users addresses part tolerance problems prior to manufacturing/assembly processes. Pre-TASysWorks shows designers which dimensions affect specific zones. TASysWorks performs geometric and dimensional tolerance analysis using worst case and statistical analysis methods. TASysWorksIntol carries out inverse tolerance analysis where users define anticipated problems in order to study it.

Neuvotec, Inc. Expands Product Offerings; Adds Tolerance Analysis System Software for SolidWorks

CAVE CREEK, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 21, 2002--Neuvotec, Inc., a distributor of high tech software products, announces that it is adding TASysWorks Tolerance Solutions software for the SolidWorks user community. C4 Advanced Engineering Services (C4 AES) develops TASys software products and Neuvotec will be the exclusive distributor within the Americas.

Neuvotec president and CEO Frederick Dudek says, "In today's fiercely competitive design-for-manufacturability environment, it's imperative to address part tolerance problems prior to the manufacturing/assembly processes. The ability to do so helps reduce production cycle times, slash costs, and significantly improve product quality. Rather than face redesigning and retooling assembly components, manufacturers can take advantage of powerful TASysWorks technologies to proactively hone in on potential part tolerance problems that can impact the bottom line."

Neuvotec will market the following TASysWorks products:

-- Pre-TASysWorks is considered the first step in achieving tolerance analysis within the SolidWorks environment. It shows designers which dimensions affect the zone that they are analyzing to which they have to assign tolerances. Once the tolerances are set, users can visualize the assembly with all the tolerances set to the maximum, minimum, and medium to see what effect they could be on the assembly. Finally, the software enables users to define tolerances automatically for pins and holes according to ISO, ANSI, and JIS standards.

-- TASysWorks performs a full geometric and dimensional tolerance analysis using worst case and statistical analysis methods. It shows users where problems could occur within the assembly and provides information to help users reset tolerances to avoid problems before they occur.

-- TASysWorksIntol carries out an inverse tolerance analysis - users define an anticipated problem, including constraints, to study it. The software provides the tolerances to achieve this and minimizes the costs.

All the TASysWorks software products are fully integrated into the SolidWorks application and are a Certified SolidWorks Gold Partner.

"We believe that these innovative products will help eliminate many of the existing bottlenecks that hinder time to market for many manufacturers. We look forward to extending the family of SolidWorks family of products," adds Dudek.

Gonzalo Fernandez, C4 AES commerical director, adds, "We are extremely pleased to have Neuvotec as our master distributor for the Americas. Neuvotec's dynamic environment, extensive SolidWorks marketplace knowledge, and existing contacts inside the VAR channel will help market and distribute TASysWorks in an expedient manner. Our market research shows that the SolidWorks community is looking for a tolerance analysis product that allows users to make full use of SolidWorks' power and productivity without slowing users down or becoming intrusive. We firmly believe that TASysWorks is the answer to their long wait for a quality, easy to use tolerance analysis tool."

Pricing and availability

Pre-TASysWorks, TASysWorks, and TASysWorksIntol are available immediately at retail prices of $995, $2,995, and $4,995 USD per seat, respectively. Volume and site license pricing are also available.
