Madison Tilt Float Switches Cost-Effectively Measure Level in Open Vessels, Sumps and Ponds

Madison Company is pleased to offer its expanded line of tilt float switches to meet a wide variety of large volume liquid level applications. Inexpensive, efficient and highly reliable, these models feature a watertight molded rubber float with integral three-conductor cable.

Three different configurations allow the user to choose the appropriate style for their particular application. Ideal for open vessels, wastewater tanks, sumps, pools and ponds, each float is constructed of durable EPDM for long service life and resistance to heat, oxidation, ozone and aging due to weather. EPDM offers good electrical resistivity, as well as resistance to polar solvents such as water, acids, alkalies, phosphate esters and many ketones and alcohols.

The tilt float switches contain a robust 8 amp (250VAC) micro-switch on an anti-vibration mount for reliable mechanical switch action. The SPDT switch element can be connected for either "open" or "closed" contact configurations and can measure both increasing and decreasing levels. The resulting signal can be used to start or stop a pump, open or close a valve or actuate indicator alarms, as required.

Standard cable lengths begin at 6.5 feet, with additional lengths available. Float travel is in an approximately +/- 45-degree arc from its nominal position.
