Eaton Launches Robust G-Series Large Bore Hydraulic Cylinder Line

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. ... Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation has announced the release of its most robust line of large bore, tie rod hydraulic cylinders designed specifically for heavy industrial applications.

The new G-Series large bore cylinders feature stronger materials and a heavy-duty rod cartridge based on nitrided steel for durable operation in the most rugged environments. The G-Series cylinders, offered in Vickers(TM) VG Series and Hydro-line® HG Series products, offer a new level of standard products with bore sizes spanning from 10 to 30 inch bore, stroke lengths stretching to 300 inches and beyond, and best-in-class options to customize performance.

The new high-end cylinder line provides ultra-heavy duty rolled tie rods, high yield strength tubes and pistons, and steel heads/caps. Further improvements include a secured piston rod for continuous performance, a cushion design for increased linearity and smoother operation, and a piston and rod sealing system that provides more flexibility, ultimate customizability and increased life.

The G-Series large bore cylinders are designed for such heavy duty applications as presses, testing/simulation, marine, valve/gate actuation and various other environments. Custom versions are available with significantly larger bore sizes, longer stroke lengths and operating pressures beyond the standard 3,000psi. Because the Eaton team has created a modular design and enhanced the drawing processes, Eaton's cylinder manufacturing facilities can respond to customers even faster.
