Grub Screws are made from steel with black oxide finish, and Thrust Pads are black nylon plastic. Both transmit clamping forces by leaning to uneven and unparallel surfaces. Thrust pads can be pressed on to ball point of grub screw by hand. Combining grub screws with different handles and knobs can create variety of clamping screws.
