Stainless steel ball thrust bearing set is suited for shaft diameters from 5-25 mm. Washers and balls in ball retainer are both stainless steel, and ball retainer is red nylon. Another ball thrust bearing set is available with grooved washers and suits smaller shaft diameters from 3-10 mm. Made of carbon steel, needle thrust bearing set accommodates shaft diameters from 10-70 mm.

Ondrives Thrust Bearing Sets
There are three different types of thrust bearing sets available to purchase from mechanical drive components specialist, Ondrives Ltd of Chesterfield.
The first, and most popular, is the ball thrust bearing set in stainless which cater for shaft diameter sizes of between 5mm to 25mm as standard. These are generally kept in stock to suit customer's "just in time" requirements, the company states. The washers and balls in the ball retainer are both stainless and the ball retainer is red nylon.
The second in the range is another ball thrust bearing set, but with grooved washers which suit smaller shaft diameters from 3mm to 10mm. The third type is a needle thrust bearing set suitable for shaft diameters of between 10mm to 70mm in carbon steel.
