Featuring all stainless steel construction, Model CD-4 EX is certified for use in Class 1, Div 1, Group D and Class II, Div 2, Groups F and G. Unit is designed with static dissipating, washable Teflon®-coated main filter; maintenance-free side channel blower; manual filter shaker; and detachable filter and recovery tank assembly. For fine dusts, vacuum is available with Teflon®-coated manual reverse purge cartridge filter with minimum filtration efficiency of 99.95% on 0.5 microns.

The EX-MAT Recovery CD-4 Explosion-Proof Vacuum Cleaner: End-User Friendly with Easy Detachable Tank Assembly
Dania, FL - Tiger-Vac is pleased to introduce the new version of its CD-4 EX (MFS) vacuum cleaner: one of our legally certified explosion proof/dust ignition proof vacuums now designed with a detachable filter and recovery tank assembly for easy maintenance and decontamination. Equipped standard with a manual filter shaker (MFS), this 3-phase vacuum offers added protection and flexibility for the end-user who can now proceed with filter maintenance of the housing chamber in a specific location.
This innovative unit is equipped with a maintenance-free, side channel blower with a lifespan greater than 25,000 hours and static dissipating washable (PTFE) Teflon®-coated main filter. The CD-4 EX all stainless steel construction (except cart) vacuum can answer the safety and maintenance needs of several industries concerned by combustible and conductive dusts in the workplace: agricultural products and dusts, chemical, carbonaceous and plastic dusts.
The CD-4 EX model is CSA legally certified for use in Class 1- Div. 1, Group D and Class II-Div. 2, Groups F and G. It can also be customized with an optional Group E motor, indicated for the recovery of conductive metal dusts (with optional bath immersion separator to neutralize metal and energetic dusts). Unit is also available with a Teflon®-coated manual reverse purge cartridge filter (MRP) for fine dusts, with a minimum filtration efficiency of 99.95% on 0.5 microns. Optional HEPA filters are also available and are manufacturer guaranteed with a capture of 99.995% of debris, down to and including 0.3 microns. All filters are Aerosol leak tested (as per EN 1822 by MMPS method) before leaving our facility.
In 2008, the Organizational Health and Safety Agency (OSHA) initiated the National Emphasis Program (NEP) on combustible dust. This widespread program provided guidelines for the prevention and control of combustible dust in manufacturing facilities.
OSHA recommends that facilities adopt a comprehensive housekeeping program which includes a properly-equipped industrial vacuum cleaner to keep dust accumulations to a minimum.
