Unique Design of Atlas(TM) Plus+Tite(TM) Threaded Inserts Provides Increased Pullout Resistance

Atlas(TM) Plus+Tite(TM) threaded steel inserts feature a unique pre-bulbed slotted body design offering increased pullout resistance when the fasteners are installed in thin sheets (metal or non-metal). During installation, all four sides of the insert's body "fold down" to grip the backside of a sheet securely. A self-locating shoulder prevents radial "play." The ample grip area on the reverse side makes these fasteners ideal for composite or plastic applications.

Atlas Plus+Tite threaded steel inserts can provide permanent threads for "blind" attachment applications, where only one side of a workpiece is accessible for fastener installation and final component assembly.

Atlas Plus+Tite threaded steel inserts can be installed in single-, variable- or multiple-thickness materials (as thin as .020"/0.50mm). Installed from the accessible "front" side of a component, these inserts eliminate a need for additional hardware beyond a mating screw to complete final assembly. Unlike weld nuts or press-in type nuts, the fasteners can be installed permanently anywhere in the shop or in the field.

The inserts are available with internal formed threads in sizes 1/4-20 through 5/16-18 and M6 through M8. Threads are compatible with unified grade 5 or metric class 9.8 screws.

All insert surfaces are plated for superior corrosion-resistance.
