Each is available uncoated or with MgF2 Anti-Reflective (AR) coating in 8 standard sizes from 5-50 mm dia. Suitable uses include cover plates for biotech imaging and replacement windows for CCD sensors as well as various other R/D and OEM applications.

TECHSPEC® Ultra-Thin N-BK7 Windows Offer Industry Leading 0.20 mm Thickness


Barrington, N.J. - Edmund Optics® (EO), the premier provider of optical components, introduces its new TECHSPEC® Ultra-Thin N-BK7 Windows. These ultra-thin windows measure just 0.20 mm in thickness. They are the company's thinnest windows and are at least one-tenth the thickness of EO's traditional N-BK-7 windows. TECHSPEC Ultra-Thin windows are ideally suited for a wide variety of applications including cover plates for biotech imaging, replacement windows for CCD sensors and numerous R&D and OEM applications.

TECHSPEC Ultra-Thin N-BK7 Windows are extremely lightweight. Their exceptionally thin design makes them ideal for both weight and size sensitive applications. The windows feature a high tolerance design, which yields minimal beam distortion and scatter.

Choice of MgF2 AR coating or uncoated

Edmund Optics' TECHSPEC Ultra-Thin N-BK7 Windows feature a precision substrate with ½ wave transmitted wavefront error. They are available uncoated or with an MgF2 Anti-Reflective coating. Standard sizes include 5 mm, 10 mm, 12.5 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm, 30 mm, 40 mm and 50 mm diameters.
