RoHS-compliant HVC Series includes resistors in chip sizes 0603, 0805, 1206, 2010, 2512, and 3512. Tolerance capacity is as low as ±0.1% for sizes 1206 and larger, while rated working voltages range from 400 V for 0603 size to 3,500 V for 3512 size. Thick film high voltage resistor handles voltage surges from 5 KV for 0603 up to 40 KV for 3512 size, provided terminals of HVC chip are isolated.

Stackpole Develops Chip Resistors that Handle High Voltage Pulses of 40KV with Tolerances Down to +/- 0.1%
RALEIGH, NC – Stackpole has expanded its HVC Series of thick film high voltage resistors that utilize a state-of-the-art film deposition process to achieve high voltage ratings, high resistance values, and high pulse voltage handling up to 40KV. The HVC Series is now capable of tolerances as low as +/-0.1% for sizes 1206 and larger.
The HVC Series chip resistors are rated for working voltages ranging from 400V for the 0603 size to 3500 volts for the 3512 size. In addition, the thick film high voltage resistor can handle high voltage surges from 5KV for the 0603 up to 40KV for the 3512 size provided the terminals of the HVC chip are isolated.
This voltage handling allows the HVC Series to be used for a variety of applications where high voltage and pulse voltage handling are critical including medical applications and high voltage power supplies.
The HVC Series is available in chip sizes 0603, 0805, 1206, 2010, 2512 and 3512 and is RoHS compliant.
