PEARLCOAT® Activa TPUs provide functionality for fabric melt coating and extrusion coating applications, such as antimicrobial resistance, conductivity, and fire resistant compounds. Next Generation PEARLCOAT® Activa Fabric Coat Line Enables Manufacturers to Add Product Benefits Without Secondary Process
BARCELONA, SPAIN/SEABROOK, NH (April 21, 2006) -- Merquinsa and Merquinsa North America, Inc., will be unveiling its newest generation of Pearlcoat® Activa lines of TPUs, the next major advance in TPU application fabric coating functionality stemming from the firm's original Pearlcoat® line. Merquinsa is a privately-held world leader of specialty thermoplastic urethanes for the adhesives, coating, extrusion and injection molding markets. The company will have a booth at NPE, #418.
The new Activa line will include, but will not be limited to, greater functionality for fabric melt coating and extrusion coating applications such as antimicrobial resistance, conductivity and FR (fire resistant) compounds. Applications include fabric coatings for belting such as conveyor belts used in airports, distribution facilities, grain handling, etc. and consumer products such as life jackets, life rafts and sports/outdoor clothing.
The new product line will continue to be sold in clear, or colored pellets, in hardness ranges from Shore A 70 to 95 (depending on the application). Distribution from warehouses across North America will ensure speedy deliveries and reliable supply.
