Valves larger than 2 in. are available with integrated gear box.

Original Press Release:

New Innovation in Valves; PE100 Ball Valve is Corrosion Resistant Solution to Metal

Asahi/America, Inc., the leader in thermoplastic valve technology, introduces the PE100 ball valve to its industrial piping products line. This new PE100 ball valve is an innovative solution for gas, sewer and water applications where metal ball valves have typically been installed.

The PE100 ball valve is 50 percent lighter than comparable metal valves and offers corrosion resistant internal and external parts. Available in 1" through 6", the new PE100 ball valve boasts a two-step planetary gear system to ensure smooth opening and closing of the valve, thereby eliminating water hammer.

Asahi/America's new PE100 ball valve is suitable for below-ground service, and valves larger than 2" are available with an integrated gear box. The PE100's SDR11 spigot ends are approved for maximum operating pressures of 230 psi for water and 150 psi for air or gas.

Available in both metric pipe sizes and IPS pipe sizes, the PE100 ball valve offers NBR seals for air or gas, and EPDM seals for fluids. The PE100 ball valve can be easily installed using butt, socket or electro-fusion technologies.
