July 2, 2010 - Featuring stainless steel interior, SM series thermal shock test chamber has top station that produces temperatures from above ambient to +392°F, and bottom station that achieves temperatures from -85 to +250°F. Refrigeration system includes 2-stage cascade, air-cooled R404A and SUVA 95 refrigerants. Programmable controller with computer communications enables data logging, while 2 in. traveling port allows routing of cables and wires from product under test to external device.

Associated Environmental Announces the Newest SM Series Thermal Shock Chamber


The Updated Design and Capabilities Offer a New Level of Test Functionality

(Ayer, MA) Associated Environmental Systems (AES), a leading producer of environmental test chambers, today unveiled the newest SM series thermal shock test chambers.

The updated design includes key standard features such as:

o Top station above ambient to +200°C (+392°F)

o Bottom station -65°C (-85°F) to +121°C (+250°F)

o Refrigeration system: two stage cascade, air cooled R404A & SUVA 95 refrigerants

o Meets most mil-std without CO2 or LN2 boost

o Programmable controller with computer communications for data logging

o Stainless steel interior (all zones)

o 2" traveling port for routing cables and wires from the product under test to an external device

o Digital set - digital indicating high/low temperature safety

o Automatic carriage power interrupt when doors are open

o Casters for easy movement

Additional options include:

o IEEE-488 Computer Interface

o Honeywell Truline DR4500 Digital Chart Recorder

o EZ Trend Digital Chart Recorder with 5" Touchscreen

o LN2 Cooling Capability

o CO2 Cooling Capability (300 or 1000 psig - please specify)

o Water Cooled Condenser

o Multipane Viewing window

o Noise Reduction Package
