Thermal Imaging Camera provides continuous process monitoring.
August 24, 2010 -
Operating at 1 µm, fixed Model FTI-E 1000 combines thermal imaging with temperature measurement from 1,100-5,400°F, over range of 4 models. High-resolution detector array coupled with precision optics enables targets as small as 0.013 mm² to be resolved. Enabling live images and video to be captured, dedicated software provides timed acquisition, full range of temperature measurements, and various alarm functions. Applications include boilers, cement kilns, pipe welding, and glass furnaces.

Land Instruments Adds FTI-E 1000 Fixed Thermal Imaging Camera
Offers Thermal Imaging and Temperature Measurement For Continuous Process Monitoring and Quality Control
DRONFIELD, ENGLAND, - The new FTI-E 1000 camera is perfectly suited for high-temperature applications. Operating at 1µm, the new instrument combines high- resolution thermal imaging with accurate temperature measurement from 600 to 3000 °C / 1100 to 5400 °F, over a range of 4 models.
"For high-temperature applications where measurements are made complex by extremely small or moving targets the FTI-E 1000 is an instant solution. The high-resolution detector array coupled with precision optics means we can resolve targets as small as 0.013mm square, and image processing provided by software means that alignment issues simply disappear," notes Paul Rowlett, Market Sector Manager for Land Instruments International.
"With an operating waveband centered around 1µm and a form factor compatible with existing System 4 and UNO mountings, Land can now provide an imaging solution for applications where traditionally an accurate and reliable measurement necessitated a short-wave single-point pyrometer," he/she adds.
"The other key benefits of this new product include high temperature measurement accuracy to optimise process control; simple installation and easy of use; two-year guarantee of reliability with warranty to match and no export license required for rapid hassle-free shipping. In addition, there is a choice of close-up lenses to ensure the camera exactly matches your application."
Land's dedicated software enables 'live' images and video to be captured. Many other image capture facilities enhance the software including: timed acquisition, full range of temperature measurements (point, rectangle, polygon, isotherm, histogram & area) plus colour palette choices, and a range of alarm functions.
The new FTI-E 1000 is ideally suited to many applications including steel concaster, boilers, cement kilns, pipe welding, glass furnaces, liquid metal, coating processes, wire mills and semiconductor crystal growth.
