Thermal Conditioning System controls bed temperature.

Press Release Summary:

Installed in mattresses, Heat Vent Sleep System uses active heating and passive ventilation cooling to create micro-climate for each side of bed via individual remotes. This saves energy by conditioning bed rather than entire room. For home furniture, Climate Control System allows for 3 levels of active heating and active cooling via wired remote and is available for single or dual surfaces.

Gentherm to Introduce New Thermal Conditioning System for Beds, Heated and Cooled Home Furniture at International Show

Chinese Show Is Asia's Largest Furniture Supplier Trade Fair

NORTHVILLE, Mich. and GUANGZHOU, China, – Gentherm Incorporated (NASDAQ-GS: THRM), the global market leader and a developer of innovative thermal management technologies, announced today that it will introduce a new entry level thermal conditioning system for beds and Climate Control System for home furniture at the 2014 China International Furniture Machinery & Furniture Raw Material Fair, Asia's largest furniture supplier trade fair.  The Fair will be held from March 28-April 1 in Guangzhou, China.

Gentherm technology on display in the Gentherm booth (Hall 15.1, Booth H09) will include a new Heat Vent Sleep System (HVSS) installed in mattresses; the Climate Control Sleep System™ (CCSS™) already on the market in mattresses; a new Climate Control System for Furniture featured for the first time in an attractive sofa and a Heat Vent office chair with battery power for unrestricted mobility already on the market.  All products thermally condition personal environment rather than entire rooms, and utilize proven technology installed in millions of automotive seats.

"We continue to see significant opportunities for our thermal heating and cooling and ventilating technologies," said President and Chief Executive Officer Daniel R. Coker.  "We are targeting the furniture and bedding markets in particular because of the increasing desire of consumers for comfort along with the ability to actively control their own environment.  We see these very large furniture fairs as an important opportunity to introduce our products and showcase the ways our technology can bring value to these large, global markets."

HVSS, Gentherm's new entry level thermal conditioning system for beds, is a sister product to the Company's CCSS for mattresses.  Both systems create a micro-climate for each side of the bed via individual remotes and save energy by conditioning the bed rather than the entire room.  HVSS uses active heating and passive ventilation cooling while CCSS uses solid state thermoelectric devices to thermally condition ambient room air.

Climate Control Systems for furniture allow for 3 levels of active heating and active cooling via a wired remote and are available for a single surface (cushion) or dual surfaces (cushion + back).

The China International Furniture Machinery & Furniture Raw Materials Fair is recognized as the largest and most comprehensive furniture supplier fair in Asia, with the aim of offering an "all-in-one package manufacturing solution" for the furniture production industry.
