September 19, 2006 - Offering hardware-based, line-rate filtering, SINGLEstream(TM) Aggregation Tap (Test Access Port) ensures that appropriate data network traffic gets to monitoring tools, such as probes and sensors. Aggregation capability provides one-to-many or many-to-one data connectivity, while passive tap technology ensures continuous dataflow between network devices or servers even in event of power loss. It accepts either fiber or copper connections in speeds from 10-1,000 Mbps.

Datacom Systems Inc. Announces the Shipment of the New Filtered SINGLEstream(TM) Aggregation Tap

EAST SYRACUSE, N.Y., Aug. 9 // -- Datacom Systems Inc. began shipping it's newest product line this week, the Filtered SINGLEstream(TM) Aggregation Tap, which gives customers the ability to filter data network traffic going to probes, sensors and other analysis tools. The Filtered SINGLEstream(TM) filters data based upon IP address, Port, MAC address, Vlan or Customizable offsets in the IP header. The Filtered SINGLEstream(TM) passive tap technology ensures that data between network devices or servers continues to flow even in the event of a power loss.

Many security and network sensors are overloaded with information coming from network taps or SPAN ports. The Filtered SINGLEstream(TM) gives those sensors the ability to see traffic that previously would have been dropped. Less data overload means that the sensor functions more effectively.

o Filtered SINGLEstream(TM) hardware-based, line-rate filtering makes sure that appropriate traffic gets to monitoring tools efficiently.
o Filtered SINGLEstream(TM) aggregation capability provides one-to-many, or many-to-one data connectivity.
o Filtered SINGLEstream(TM) tap technology means that traffic between network devices continues to flow, when power is lost to the Filtered SINGLEstream(TM).
o The Filtered SINGLEstream(TM) is flexible since it accepts either fiber or copper connections in speeds from 10-1000Mbps.

Based upon Datacom Systems 15 years of proven technical development and global customer support expertise, the Filtered SINGLEstream(TM) is the latest addition to over 100 existing products that network and security professionals use to access their network.

"Customer response to the Filtered SINGLEstream(TM) has been very positive. The introduction of the Filtered SINGLEstream(TM) marks a new era where network analyzers and security sensors will be able to see the data that they were missing," said Sam Lanzafame, President of Datacom Systems.
