May 15, 2007 - Developed specifically for use with SkyWave's D+ satellite and GPRS terminals, SPIKE Display Terminal enables integrators and service providers to develop text messages for critical remote control and monitoring applications. Fully configurable messaging display terminal allows users to communicate using free-form or pre-defined text messages. In addition to transmitting position information, SPIKE, when combined with SkyWave terminal, can create location-based services.

SkyWave and Aztech Simplify Text Messaging Over Satellite and GPRS


Ottawa & Kingston, CANADA - April 23, 2007 - SkyWave Mobile Communications, the leading supplier of D+ communications products and services, along with Aztech Associates Inc., specialists in remote control and monitoring systems, today announce the availability of the SPIKE messaging display terminal, developed specifically for use with SkyWave's D+ satellite and GPRS terminals. Using the SPIKE and SkyWave terminals, integrators and service providers can easily develop text messages for their critical remote control and monitoring applications.

The SPIKE is a flexible, fully configurable messaging display terminal allowing users to communicate using free-form or pre-defined text messages. In addition to the ability to transmit position information, the SPIKE, when combined with a SkyWave terminal, becomes the ideal tool for creating location-based services for land mobile or marine applications.
