Thermonics Announces High-Flow Temperature Forcing System

SUNNYVALE, CA (USA) - Thermonics, Inc., a business unit of Test Enterprises, Inc. announces the T-2500HFE Precision Temperature Forcing System (PTFS). The T-2500HFE, based on the successful T-2500 product platform, provides increased air flow to accurately control temperatures of high power electronic components and parallel component testing.

Controlling test temperatures for high power electronic components is particularly challenging due to the volume of heat generated by the unit under test. The T-2500HFE has been proven to control device temperatures with power consumption of up to 140 watts to within ±1°C. In addition, the new system can be used to test multiple units in parallel, and to cool larger test chambers such as those used in PCB testing.

Thermonics is able to offer a system with an airflow rate of 20 cubic feet per minute (cfm) and a temperature range of -90°C to 200°C through the use of patent pending technology employed in their modified Auto Cascade Chiller. Additionally, the T-2500HFE can be powered with a standard 208 volt, 30 amp service.

"The T-2500HFE offers electronics manufacturers a powerful tool that can be used in various capacities," says Jim Kufis, president and CEO of Test Enterprises. "And the wide temperature range combined with the high flow rate makes temperature control possible for applications not previously feasible."
