VFCpro enables PRESTO dynamic temperature control systems to measure and control fluid flow within loop circuit. Opening up application possibilities for liquid temperature control systems, plug-and-play accessory enables defined flow rate to be kept constant while temperature is controlled simultaneously. VFCpro can determine approximate calorimetric values and achieves accuracies up to 6%. Operating from -100 to +300°C, product has max flow rate of 50 Lpm (VFCpro-24) and 100 Lpm (VFCpro-38).

JULABO Announces Easy Flow Measurement with VFCpro and PRESTOŽ
JULABO launches a revolutionary accessory for the new PRESTO highly dynamic temperature control systems. With the VFCpro the PRESTO can measure and control fluid flow within a loop circuit.
This capability opens completely new application possibilities for liquid temperature control systems. A defined flow rate can be kept constant while simultaneously controlling the temperature. For example: a scientist can determine the flow rate of the bath liquid managing the temperature of a jacketed reactor. This makes the flow measurement ideal for scientific and industrial applications.
In combination with a PRESTO, the VFCpro can determine approximate calorimetric values. The PRESTO displays real time measurements of heating / cooling capacity (kW), flow rate (L/min) and calorimetric work (kWh). EasyTEMP Professional software by JULABO can be used for post-experiment data evaluation. An example of this would be an analysis of heat evolution or safety analysis for the scale-up of a chemical process from small laboratory scale to large kilo-lab / production scale.
The VFCpro achieves accuracies of up to 6% and presents an economic calorimetric alternative; especially in cases where the purchase of a precision calorimeter is prohibitive. In addition the operator follows a simple operating protocol with no intense equipment or software training necessary. The flexibility of the VFCpro enables the determination of calorimetric values in existing equipment. This capability is unique to the market. Examination and analysis of the kinetics and dynamics of reactive synthesis and crystallization are critical to the pharmaceutical, chemical and other related industries. Engineers and scientists need this information to operate production scale processes safely and reproducibly.
The VFCpro is designed as a plug-and-play accessory with two different versions. The VFCpro-24 and VFCpro-38 models connect to the various PRESTO models. The VFC is also available for permanent plant installations. The VFC / VFCpro models operate in a temperature range from -100 °C to +300 °C. The maximum flow rate for the VFCpro-24 is 50 L/min and the VFCpro-38 is rated to 100 L/min.
