SERAPID, Inc, introduces the RollBeam - a telescopic linear actuator providing flexible push-pull solutions with the Rigid Chain.
The RollBeam can be used for vertical as well as horizontal transfer, since the chain can be stored either above or below the path of travel.
The RollBeam features a transfer speed of up to 6.5 feet per second as well as a travel distance of one meter (3.3 feet) to virtually unlimited. Standard models cover applications up to 50 tons at a practically unlimited stroke length. It is built for heavy-duty applications, with special versions allowing for operation in harsh environments.
Recent application examples include a 100-foot linear actuator system for handling nuclear waste, a press-mounted push-pull system for die handling, and a system to lift a museum display.
